About The Wine Coach

Jim Greif, who leads the tastings, has studied, collected and tasted wines for decades. He has attended countless tastings and has designed The Wine Coach tastings to incorporate the most entertaining and luscious features.

He is passionate about explaining wine in non-technical terms. Whether you choose a sit-down tasting in which all of the guests taste and discuss the same wine as a group or a more casual stand-up tasting, Jim will inform and entertain your guests. The principal goal of every tasting is that all the participants enjoy themselves.

In addition to his knowledge of and appreciation for wine, he has a well honed ability to match food with wine. Most Wine Coach tastings involve pairing the wines with exceptional regional cheeses. In addition, Jim can work with your caterer or restaurateur to select appetizers or tapas to complement the wines in a tasting. Beyond that, an entire wine dinner can be planned with wines selected to match each course.

Jim has decades of experience in public relations, and he can assist in promoting these events for your organization. Tastings can be arranged for as few as ten people or as many as 60.

The Wine Coach also works with restaurateurs who wish to increase their revenue from wine. Wines can be selected—at any price-point—to enhance every cuisine. In addition, The Wine Coach can develop specialty lists that explain which wines will enhance specific dishes.

Wine is increasingly the beverage of choice, but many patrons do not know how to select wines. Remove the uncertainty. Let your patrons be comfortable ordering wine, and your wine revenue will increase substantially.
